Description
A comforting and cheesy chicken noodle casserole that is perfect for a family dinner.

- 12 oz wide egg noodles (cooked & drained)
- 1 rotisserie chicken (shredded or chopped)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 16 oz sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded colby jack cheese (divided)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning
- 32 oz marinara sauce
- 1½ –2 cups shredded mozzarella
- dried or fresh parsley (for color)
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning, colby jack cheese (1 cup), cooked noodles, and shredded rotisserie chicken.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Add half of the creamy noodle mixture.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese.
- Spoon over 1/2 of the marinara sauce.
- Add the remaining noodle mixture.
- Add the last 1/2 of the marinara sauce.
- Top with mozzarella cheese and colby jack for color.
- Bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes uncovered, until hot, bubbly, and cheese is melted, on middle to lower middle rack.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes, then garnish with parsley if desired and serve.
Notes
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
- For a spicier flavor, add more Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning.
- Can substitute chicken with turkey or vegetables for a different variation.
