Description

A delicious and easy baked dish featuring ground beef, cabbage, and melted mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 head cabbage, chopped roughly
  • 1 can (15 oz / 425g) tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 cup (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet; drain fat.
  3. Add the chopped cabbage and cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly wilted.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 baking dish.
  6. Top evenly with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Broil for 2 minutes for golden spots if desired.
