- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 head cabbage, chopped roughly
- 1 can (15 oz / 425g) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 cup (170g) shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet; drain fat.
- Add the chopped cabbage and cook for 5-7 minutes until slightly wilted.
- Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 baking dish.
- Top evenly with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Broil for 2 minutes for golden spots if desired.
