- 9 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 green onions (chopped)
- 1 cup bell peppers (diced)
- 1 cup cooked chicken (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until they float, about 3-5 minutes.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Sauté minced garlic and diced bell peppers for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and add Cajun seasoning. Stir and let simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Drain the tortellini and add them to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce.
- Stir in chopped green onions before serving hot.
Notes
- This dish can be made with chicken or kept vegetarian by omitting the chicken.
- Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning according to taste.
