Description
A rich and flavorful lamb curry made with a blend of spices and served with fresh cilantro.
Ingredients

- 500g lamb shoulder or leg, cubed
- 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- 0 cup plain yogurt
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 0 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 0 cup water (optional for thinning sauce)
Instructions
- Heat oil or ghee in a pot over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until golden brown (10–15 mins).
- Add garlic and ginger, cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chili powder. Stir to bloom spices.
- Add lamb pieces and sear until browned on all sides.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and water. Simmer on low for 1–2 hours until lamb is tender.
- Stir in yogurt and garam masala. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
