Description

A delicious creamy lemon pasta dish with fresh herbs and parmesan.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces pasta of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Stir in the chopped herbs and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parmesan and herbs if desired.

Notes

  • This dish is best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge for a day or two.
  • Feel free to add grilled chicken or shrimp for added protein.
