  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the flour and cook for 2 minutes until the mixture is bubbling and light golden in color.
  3. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, ensuring no lumps remain in the sauce.
  4. Season the liquid with onion powder, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer the sauce over medium-low heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until it reaches the desired thickness.
  6. Add the shredded cooked chicken to the gravy and stir to combine.
  7. Continue to heat for 3 to 5 minutes until the chicken is thoroughly warmed through.
